Is Mt. Carmel denominational?

Yes, our church belongs to a small denomination based in Canton, OH called the Evangelical Friends Church--Eastern Church. Our denomination partners with other denominations in the Evangelical Friends Church--North America. Click for more information

Does Mt. Carmel support mission work?

Yes! We partner with the Evangelical Friends Church--Eastern Region and Evangelical Friends Mission to support missionaries in dozens of countries. In recent years we have been blessed to be able to give over 10% of our church budget to missions. We also support missions in many other ways as opportunities arise. Click for more information

Does Mt. Carmel have ministries for children/youth?

We do. We offer Sunday school classes for ALL ages. We have many special events for children throughout the year. Watch for details on VBS, Missions Fest, our Easter Egg Hunt, and others. Our youth program is small but friendly! The teens love going to Youth Explosion Cleveland every November.

What kind of nursery services does Mt. Carmel offer?

Our nursery is available for children through age 2 during both Sunday School and Worship hours. It is staffed by 2 background-checked volunteers. Our facilities offer a toddler-sized bathroom, a stocked changing table, a crib, and lots of toys!

What is Mt. Carmel's theology like?

Our church has a great heritage in the Friends movement (Quakers). But, to narrow it down further: we are evangelical, Gurneyite Friends. Does Mt. Carmel Friends Church own or run the Mt. Carmel Cemetery across the street?
